BELGRADE ADVENTURE

The project BELGRADE ADVENTURE was launched as a school-based activity that offered young people the opportunity to explore Belgrade’s cultural and historical heritage in an innovative way, and over time it has grown into an initiative focused on the comprehensive and critical study of Belgrade’s heritage.

From December 2019 to the present, more than 50 high school students and university students have participated in the project, exploring significant buildings and urban ensembles of Belgrade through thematic approaches. Their work has been enriched by the Beotura platform, which represents a valuable resource for all those interested in the history of Belgrade across different historical periods.

A special contribution of the project is reflected in its teaching materials, which help teachers and students make classes more dynamic and closely connected to the city’s cultural heritage.

One of the key outcomes of the project is the Beotura mobile application, available on the App Store and Google Play Store, which serves as an interactive guide through the multiple layers of Belgrade, providing users with a medium for a deeper understanding of its rich history.

The website features more than 150 buildings and urban ensembles, accompanied by relevant and reliable information. We are also proud of the initiative to archive personal stories of lesser-known Belgrade residents who left a significant mark on the city’s artistic and cultural history, thereby contributing to the preservation of a living memory of Belgrade as it once was—and as it continues to become.
